HSC and Equivalent Exam Pass Rate Increased by 7.29% this Year in Bangladesh

HSC and equivalent exam results have been published on Wednesday in Bangladesh. This year the combined pass rate is 73.93% which is 7.29% more compared with last year’s results.
A total of 13,36,629 student attended HSC examinations this April under General, Madrasa and Technical education boards and among them 9,88,172 students have passed.
A total of 47,286 students achieved a 5.00 GPA this year, compared to only 29,262 students the previous year. The education ministry published the results of the exams on Wednesday.
Students can find their result through SMS on their mobile phone and they can also visit the official website of the education board (http://www.educationboard.gov.bd).
Under eight general education boards, 71.85% of students passed the examinations while 41,807 students got their 5.00 GPA this year.
Under the Madrasa education board, 88.56% of students managed to pass and 2,243 students got a 5.00 GPA.
The passing rate under the Technical education board is 82.62% and 3,238 students achieved GPA 5.00.
A total of 909 institutions have achieved a 100% pass rate while 41 institutions faced a 0% pass rate.
Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina appreciated this result and addressed the students to work strongly for the welfare of the country.
