After two years of waiting, HBO finally released the trailer of most popular fantasy fiction TV series “Game of Thrones” season finale’s trailer along with a premiere date on April 14 this year.
HBO also released a short teaser showing Jon Snow reunited with sisters Arya and Sansa Stark, as the three walk through the crypts of family home Winterfell and hear mysterious messages from their parents.
The eighth season will be the shortest yet, with only six episodes, making it shorter than the penultimate season (seven episodes), and much shorter than the first six seasons of the show (which had 10 episodes each).
According to a report, all the main cast-members will return for the final series. Although it is an ensemble show, the cast’s salaries might give some indication which characters will be given the most prominence in the final season.
Collider revealed David Nutter will be directing episodes one, two and four. Miguel Sapochnik, who’s become known for action-heavy episodes such as Hardhome and Battle of the Bastards, will be directing episodes three and five. Showrunners DB Weiss and David Benioff will co-direct the sixth and final episode of the show.
“This season is going to be incredibly satisfying for people,” show’s star Nathalia Emmanuel said. “It is going to be incredibly exciting and heartbreaking. I feel like people will have their mind blown when they watch the final one.”
