‘Harry Potter’ TV Series Formally Approved at HBO

A “trustworthy reproduction of the timeless books” is what’s been guaranteed

According to HBO, a new Harry Potter TV series will get produced from J. K. Rowling’s books.

This month, there was a rumor that negotiations were underway for the first television adaptation of the enduring novels. According to Bloomberg, every episode of the show will be built around one of Rowling’s seven major Harry Potter novels.

HBO Max revealed the new series today (April 12) in a tweet and a little video that accompanied it.

So, the tweet begins, “The Hogwarts note is here”. Added, “Max ordered the very first official Harry Potter written series for television, an accurate portrayal of the iconic books.”

Between 2001 & 2011, Warner Bros. adapted Rowling’s books for the big screen. There were eight movies in the hugely popular series, beginning with Harry Potter & the Philosopher’s Stone. And ending with Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. The eight films collectively brought in almost $7.7 billion at international box offices.

After then, Warner Bros. created and released a number of Harry Potter-related spin-off movies.

However, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016), Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018), & Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2016).

Rowling has recently been under fire for her opinions on transgender people after making a number of comments. In an essay published in 2020, Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe criticized Rowling’s beliefs, asserting that “transgender women are women”. As well as Rowling added, “Any declaration to the reverse removes the personas & respect of transgender humans.”

Let’s hope for the best of the rebirth of ‘Harry Potter’. ‘Harry Potter’ is not only kid’s favorite but also millions of adult’s obsession. We must believe in magic! HBO is going to make it happen, hopeful I am as you are!
