Once the ones to watch in rock circles Halestorm have become something of an enigma of late with rave reviews of live shows being somewhat undermined by new material being rather underwhelming.
The writing was on the wall for Vicious and although it has a number of high points there’s way to much mediocrity throughout to make this anything than a filler album.
There’s no doubt it will sell well as the Pennsylvanians are on a roll right now, but this won’t be remembered as a classic Halestorm record. This is more momentum slowing than lost but Vicious doesn’t have the teeth to compete with similar releases in the same vein.
