Guitarist Slash on Guns N' Roses New Album

The iconic Guitarist Slash has revealed the possibility of the group working on their first batch of original material since the reunion on new Guns N’ Roses album, according to a new interview with Eddie Trunk.
“It’s been talked about. I think everybody wants to do it, and we’ll just see what happens. We’ve been busy doing this running around the planet.” said the guitarist who is recognisable for his trademark top hat and long black hair.
Together with Duff McKagan, Richard Fortus, Dizzy Reed and Frank Ferrer, Slash has been on the road with frontman Axl Rose for the huge ‘Not In This Lifetime’ world tour, which is still ongoing.
Slash was also questioned about performing songs from Chinese Democracy – the 2008 GN’R album he did not play on. Reason being: “Chinese Democracy”, “Better”, “This I Love”, and “Madagascar” are currently part of the setlist.
Slash, vocalist Axl Rose, and bassist Duff McKagan are the only original members of Guns N’ Roses in the current lineup. The rest of the group is rounded out by guitarist Richard Fortus, drummer Frank Ferrer, as well as keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Melissa Reese.
In June, the classic lineup took to the stage at Download Festival, where it’s reported they earned £5 million for their headline performance, which believed to be the biggest amount promoter and organiser Andy Copping has ever handed out to a band for the event.
The last album on which Slash appeared was 1993’s covers album The Spaghetti Incident. Subsequently Axl Rose was the only original member of the band left until the Slash and McKagan rejoined in 2016.
