What a smart and charming book. The illustrations, artistically done by Babeth Lafon, are cool and contemporary, and really enhance the copy on each page, whilst the text is split into readable chunks that make for easy and enjoyable reading.
Steve has certainly done his research, and there is plenty to say about the multi-talented marvel that is Grace Jones. There are facts galore, and lots of quotes too, making it personable and adding that extra level of interest.
It covers everything from Grace’s star-studded career to her colourful love life, making it a truly entertaining read.
Everyone who thinks of the model / actor / activist / musician conjures up notions of eccentricity, brazenness and confidence, and they wouldn’t be wrong. This wonderful A – Z further cements these preconceptions, as it tells the riveting tale of this magnificently unique woman, from her early days to her more modern moments.
This inspiring piece of work is an item to be cherished with its glorious artwork and compelling content. It makes for an enticing read, that’s for sure, so whether you are a fan or not, your interest will surely be picqued when checking out this beautiful book.
