Frontiers: Performing with Technology

Technology is being used more and more to deliver innovative interactive performances, and Frontiers: Performing with Technology is out to prove why that is so important.
The Music Technology department of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire will be presenting an evening of interactive performance with technology. MMus students will show works which have been composed specifically for this performance and which explore new ways of using technology in performance.
That includes works for acoustic instruments, as well as live electronics, gesture controlled sound, and live sonification of biological data. As in all, it would be an exciting mix of cutting edge music and sound art practice.
Frontiers: Performing with Technology takes place at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire on Thursday 22 February, starting at 7pm and finishing at 9pm.
