Foo Fighters Teases Upcoming Song ‘Pieces’

The new year is about to begin and Foo Fighters are teasing their upcoming song ‘Pieces’ to welcome the new year. Puza Snigdha reports.

The song ‘Pieces’ is from their upcoming 10th album ‘Medicine at Midnight’ that is set to release on February 5th, 2021. The band will drop the single very soon.

Originally the album was about to come in 2020 to mark their 25th anniversary. The album includes 9 tracks- Making a Fire, Shame Shame, Cloudspotter, Waiting on a War, Medicine at Midnight, No Son of Mine, Holding Poison, Chasing Birds, Love Dies Young.

The band took the social media to tease their upcoming song. They shared a snippet of the song captioning, “New year. New music.” They haven’t give any date or time for the new release yet. But the post says “sooner than later”.

The band unveiled their leading track ‘Shame Shame’, back in 7th November during the post-election episode of Saturday Night Live.

According to Dave Grohl, the music video of ‘Shame Shame’ was inspired by a “dark corner” of his psyche that he has experienced for over 40 years. “It is the best way to introduce people to the next 25 years of our band,” he said.

Meanwhile, Dave Grohl raised funds through Save Our Stages Act to prevent the permanent closure of independent music venues during the lockdown. The act gathered $15 billion. The money was used to help live venues, independent movie theatres, and cultural institutions.

Foo Fighters performed a set for the #SaveOurStages (#SOS) campaign.
