According to Dave Grohl the new album is similar to David Bowie’s 1983 LP ‘Let’s Dance’.

“It’s filled with anthemic, huge rock songs to sing along to,” said Dave Grohl and added, “It’s like a dance record, but not an EDM, disco or modern dance record. It has groove. For me it’s our ‘Let’s Dance’ record by David Bowie. We wanted to do that, we wanted to do this really fun record. ”
