Foo Fighters Drops “Waiting on a War”

Foo Fighters has released a new song titled “Waiting on a War” on 13th to January as a part of Dave Grohl’s 52nd birthday celebration. Puza Snigdha reports.

The new track follows their previously released singles “Shame Shame” and “No Son of Mine.”

The song is belongs to their forthcoming tenth studio album “Medicine at Midnight” which is set for release on February 5. “Medicine at Midnight” is produced by Greg Kurstin and Foo Fighters. It is a follow-up to their 2017’s “Concrete and Gold.”

The album is total 37 minutes long and includes total 9 track. The track list includes-
• Making a Fire
• Shame Shame
• Cloudspotter
• Waiting on a War
• Medicine at Midnight
• No Son of Mine
• Holding Poison
• Chasing Birds
• Love Dies Young

“As a child growing up in the suburbs of Washington DC, I was always afraid of war,” said Dave.

According to Dave the song is inspired by his 11-year-old daughter, Harper.

“Last fall, as I was driving my daughter to school, she turned to me and asked, ‘Daddy, is there going to be a war?’ My heart sank as I realized that she was now living under the same dark cloud that I had felt 40 years ago,” said Dave Grohl.

The band was supposed to have a tour titled Van Tour back in 2020 to celebrate the 25th anniversary but it was postponed due to COVID-19. The band has announced earlier this week that they have teamed up with Vans to release a special pair of shoes to mark the anniversary.

Recently, the shared series of covers including Drake’s “Hotline Bling.”
