We’re back this week with some mind-blowing movies. And these five films will be released on 31 December on New year’s Eve.
Cyrano
Joe Wright directs Cyrano, a musical romantic drama film set in 2021. It’s based on Schmidt’s 2018 stage musical of the same name, which was inspired by Edmond Rostand’s 1897 drama Cyrano de Bergerac. Peter Dinklage, Haley Bennett, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Bashir Salahuddin, Ben Mendelsohn, and Ray Strachan are some of the cast members. On September 2, 2021, it made its global premiere at the 48th Telluride Film Festival. The film was originally scheduled for a limited theatrical release in the United States on December 25, 2021. The release date was then moved to December 31.
Jersey
Jersey is a future Hindi-language sports drama film written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, which is a remake of his Telugu film of the same name from 2019. It stars Shahid Kapoor as a former cricketer who returns to the game for his son’s sake. The plot revolves around Arjun, a 36-year-old cricketer who, after sacrificing his cricketing career ten years ago, is now starting to play for the Indian squad simply because his son wants a jersey. It will now be released on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2021.
The Lost Daughter
Maggie Gyllenhaal (in her feature directing debut) wrote and directed The Lost Daughter, a psychological drama film set in 2021 and based on Elena Ferrante’s novel of the same name. Olivia Colman, Dakota Johnson, Jessie Buckley, Paul Mescal, Dagmara Domiczyk, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Peter Sarsgaard, and Ed Harris are among the cast members of the film. On September 3, 2021, it had its global premiere at the 78th Venice International Film Festival, where Gyllenhaal was awarded the Golden Osella Award for Best Screenplay.The film received acclaim from critics. It will be released to streaming on Netflix on December 31.
Raat Jaga Phul
‘Raat Jaga Phul’ will be released at the end of this year, 31st December. Mir Sabbir, Bangladesh’s most well-known actor, will make his new movie directorial debut with this film. Monirul Islam Masum worked as a Cinematographer and Kamruzzaman Sumon and Farzana Chumki worked as art directors and choreographers. The film is mainly produced by the government and Mir Sabbir’s production company ‘Fuljhuri Media Limited’ is the co-producer.
Nyaay: The Justice
Nyaay: The Justice is a biographical drama film in Hindi that will be released in India on 31st December 2021. Sarla A. Saraogi and Rahul Sharma produce the film, which is directed by Dilip Gulati. Zuber K. Khan and Shreya Shukla play the key roles in the film. Vikas Productions is the production company behind the film. The story follows Mahinder Singh, a young child who arrives in Hollywood with the youthful innocence and vigor associated with rural communities. His tenacity, skill, and antics have earned him the praise of critics and fans alike. His intelligence, as well as his script selection, not only puts him at odds with the powerful but also makes him a thorn in their flesh.
