Movies have different genres, some love comedy, horror, drama. Thriller, action, and many more. If you haven’t watched any Chinese movies yet let’s, not get bothered. The story is about Sing is a petty thief who aspires to be part of the sophisticated and ruthless Axe Gang. He stumbles into a slum ruled by eccentric landlords who turn out to be some of the greatest kung fu masters in disguise.

Infernal Affairs (2002)

Infernal Affairs was the movie that was inspired and made the basic plot of the Oscar-winning film The Departed. This crime thriller was based on the story of a veteran cop who is sent undercover to infiltrate the notorious Triad crime ring and, at the same time, the Triad boss has also sent one of his own to infiltrate the police department.

Ip Man (2008)

In the movie, Donnie Yen stars as Ip Man, a renowned Grandmaster of Wing Chun who lives peacefully with his family in Foshan, Guangdong. After the Japanese invade everything falls apart and changed. Ip Man was forced to step forward and teach everyone to protect themselves using the secrets of Wing Chun thus he became the champion of the people who desperately need him.

Red Cliff (赤壁)

Genre: Action, Adventure, Drama

Red Cliff is based on one of the most significant battles in Chinese history, the Three Kingdoms (AD 220 to 280). The movie is split into two parts and could be confusing at times. Whoever wants to know more about the Three Kingdoms’ history, this movie is the perfect pick for them.

The Wedding Banquet (1993) 喜宴

Genre: Romance/Comedy

The story is about a Taiwanese-American man who is happily settled in New York with his boyfriend and plans on marrying a Chinese woman to keep his parents happy, in return the bride gets a green card so it’s a contract marriage. But just at that moment, his parents arrive! What can go wrong more than this?  You must watch this rom-com to know about the remaining story.
