Babylon

Babylon is a 2022 American epic period black comedy-drama film written and directed by Damien Chazelle. It has a large ensemble cast that includes Margot Robbie, Brad Pitt, and other outstanding actors. It charts the ascent and ascent of numerous characters during the late 1920s Hollywood switch from silent to sound cinema.

The movie is based on an original epic set in 1920s Los Angeles. Other cast members include Jovan Adepo, Li Jun Li, and Jean Smart. It follows the rise and fall of several people during a time of unrestrained luxury and depravity in early Hollywood. It is a story of oversized ambition and outrageous excess. On November 14, 2022, Babylon had its Los Angeles Samuel Goldwyn Theater debut, and on December 23, 2022, it was made available to the public in this country.

The Invitation

American horror thriller The Invitation is set in 2022 and was written by Blair Butler and directed by Jessica M. Thompson. Nathalie Emmanuel and Thomas Doherty both appear in the movie. The movie, which was influenced by Bram Stoker’s novel Dracula, centers on a young woman who, after her mother passes away, reunites with long-lost relatives for the first time only to learn the sinister secrets they are hiding. When she accepts an invitation from her new family to attend a lavish wedding in the English countryside, the sexy aristocrat host initially seduces her, but she soon finds herself in a survival nightmare as she learns about the dark secrets of her family’s past and the sinister motivations behind their extravagant generosity.

The Invitation was released theatrically in the United States on August 26, 2022.

The Pale Blue Eye

When The Pale Blue Eye debuts on Netflix this week, it will finally reach its intended audience. The Pale Blue Eye is a strange mash-up of detective fiction, horror, and historical fantasy (genres that author Edgar Allan Poe helped pioneer or foster), and it takes place in 1829, during Poe’s brief and unsuccessful time as a West Point cadet. According to the new film, Poe also got involved in a real-life murder probe during those turbulent days.

The movie is the brainchild of writer-director Scott Cooper (Hostiles, Antlers), who adapts Louis Bayard’s book for the screen. Additionally, it brings him back together with Christian Bale, a frequent collaborator, who portrays a typical Poe detective who travels to upstate New York to look into a murder and finds himself at odds with a melancholy Southern officer named Edgar (played by Harry Melling from The Queen’s Gambit).

Salaam Venky

A 2022 Indian Hindi-language slice-of-life drama film titled Salaam Venky. The film also known as Salute to you, Venky, was directed by Revathi. The movie, which stars Vishal Jethwa and Kajol in the key parts. It is based on a true tale about a mother who does everything in her power to ensure that her son. The boy who has Duchenne muscular dystrophy, is able to live life to the fullest.

Based on the true story of a young chess player, the movie follows Venky as he battles Duchenne muscular dystrophy. It also fights for euthanasia so that he can give his organs before the disease progresses and makes them useless. Sujatha, his mother, is joined by a doctor, a lawyer, and a journalist in fighting for his right to pass away with dignity.

On December 9, 2022, the movie was released in theaters.

Lost

An intense suspense movie that stands for a greater purpose, the look for the integrity and empathy that have been lost.

Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury is the director of the 2023 Indian thriller Lost, and produced by Namah Productions and Zee Studios. Yami Gautam plays the lead in the movie. Supporting cast members include Pankaj Kapur, Rahul Khanna, Neil Bhoopalam, Pia Bajpiee, and Tushar Pandey.

Lost is based on actual events and tells the tale of a sharp, young criminal reporter who is relentlessly seeking the truth about the sudden disappearance of a young theater activist. An investigative thriller that embodies a higher quest. And that a look for the principles of humanity and honesty that have been forgotten. The movie is slated to air on ZEE5 on February 16, 2023.
