Model and actress Emily Ratajkowski, known for her appearances in Robin Thicke’s famed ‘Blurred Lines’ music video and cinematic thriller ‘Gone Girl’ (amongst other roles), has become the first female celebrity to drive the Formula E race car at the ABB FIA Formula E Championship in Berlin.
The stunning star shown off her driving ability on the track and in doing so, has joined the likes of Orlando Bloom, Idris Elba & Chris Hemsworth as part of the coveted few who have had the opportunity to drive such a car.
Emily was accompanied by former Formula One driver Nico Roseburg for a practice lap before she took to the track in a single seated race car. The incredible vehicle is recognised for reaching speeds of up to 140mph.
When discussing her stint on the track, Emily said: “It was an incredible experience – so much fun. It was actually easier to drive the car than I thought – I got really nervous before but then it was so much fun. I took it slow to begin with to get the feel but then I really got into it!”
It looks like Emily can now tick race car driving off her bucket list!
