Dundee Contemporary Arts (DCA) is an art centre in Dundee, Scotland, with two contemporary art galleries. This year in September DCA will host the Scottish premieres of two internationally famous artists – Mike Kelley and Santiago Sierra. Both displays will explore questions of nationalism, identity and belonging in the context of local, national and global uncertainty. In her project the black flag, Sierra critiques the concept of territory and the practices of nationalism imbued in such acts. The film Mobile Homestead chart Mike Kelley and his creation’s journey across the city, with footage of the extraordinary road trip interspersed with interviews that chronicle the varied lives of those who populate this area today.
