Dresden Dolls Announced London Shows after a Decade

The punk-cabaret duo ‘Dresden Dolls’ are making a special comeback in October almost after a decade announcing their schedule to play two Halloween dates in London.
The punk pair, vocalist Amanda Palmer and Brian Viglione who last toured the UK in 2006, will celebrate their 18 years anniversary as a band by playing two shows at Troxy on October 30 and 31, just n time of Halloween.
Speaking about their return, Palmer stated, “The Dresden Dolls haven’t played Europe or the UK in twelve years and it’s high time. We’ve always had an extra-special relationship with our freak-family in London, who were early punk-cabaret embracers from our very first show at Madame Jojo’s in Soho (RIP)”.
“We’re going to play our favorite material and try out some experimental things. It’s The Dresden Dolls, just come prepared to be overwhelmed and delighted”, she continued.
Formed in 2000, the band have gained a prolific reputation through the years for their self-proclaimed “Brechtian punk cabaret” style. Their live shows are renowned for their live shows, often involving fire-breathers, stilt-walkers, and similarly themed performance artistry.
The duo officially went on hiatus in 2008, but did go out on a number of brief tours between 2010 and 2012. Their last performance together was to celebrate Record Store Day in 2015.
