Digital QuakeCon 2020 Announces “Round-The-Clock Programming” Feature

Bethesda Softworks and id Software have revealed the launch date for QuakeCon 2020 as well as the program details for the virtual event. Puza Snigdha reports.

The three-day virtual event will kick off from 7-9 August and will be shown on Slow TV. It will feature “round-the-clock programming with special influencer streams, surprises, and our very own Bethesda Community teams from around the globe–all streaming from home in support of charitable causes.”

During QuakeCon, the final Quake Pro League 2019-2020 season will start on August 9, at at 4pm CT/10pm BST. The league will feature 24 gamers from all over the world fighting it out to get a share of their US$150,000 decoration pool.

To simplifies the annual Bring Your Own Computer LAN occasion the program wiil include the QuakeCon Twitch Team. The gamers will take part in matches through Twitch to raise fund and to support the charities like COVID-19 Immediate Relief, UNICEF, the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and The Trevor Project.

ZeniMax also revealed that special merchandise, such as “Dogvahkiin” and “Catodemon” t-shirts, will be sold to raise funds for animal charities like Dallas Pets Alive and FOUR PAWS.
