Death of 16-year-old migrant intensifies outrage on British Government

A body of a 16-year-old Sudanese migrant was found on the French beach earlier today. This incident has intensified the outrage at the British government who has been failing to control migrant crossings and establishing proper immigration policies.

The young boy was attempting to come to England crossing the English Channel in a small vessel when tragedy stroke. The makeshift vessel he was in which included a group of migrants capsized leading to fatalities.

A repeated warning has been made to the home secretary to step up humanitarian responsibilities immediately and ensure a safe and legal passage for the migrant crossing to avoid unnecessary deaths. The government has proved to be callous and chaotic in handling this entire situation.

Clare Moseley who is the founder of Care4Calais expressed how no one deserves to die alone in the sea like this. The death of the boy shows the inabilities of the British government. She said that it is time for a drastic change and measures implied before more people lose their lives.

Labour Leader Keir Starmer also called out the government for lacking competence and addressed the tragic incident.
Labour for Free Movement group took to Tweeter about this incident:

Every day, more boats carrying migrants are arriving at the Dover port. As of now, there has been a record of 4375 migrants entering the UK through the English Channel this year. Activists and Non-profit organizations have come forward to raise funds to buy ships and increase human rights patrols around the coast in the UK. It is time for the government to step in and take measures before more people lose their lives.
