Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and if you’re among the many who leave everything to the last minute, just prefer a night in or who simply cannot stand the thought of a night out midweek with the 7am alarm at the ready, these at home date night ideas may be the ones for you!
Netflix and Chill:
It’s a tried and tested classic that brings Tinder dates together however, watching a good film or even binge watching your favourite shows together can be the perfect way to spend a cosy night in with your significant other!
Three Course Meal:
If you’ve left it to the last minute but still like to go all out, try cooking a three course for your partner! Set the table with candles, sprinkle flower petals on the floor and tuck in.
If you like the sound of a stay at home dinner but you just can’t cook – get a tin of soup, a ready meal and a store baked cake. We won’t tell 😉
Games:
Whether you want dust off your old board games, break out a deck of cards or even finally agree to your other half being player 2 on Mario Kart, nothing says ‘I love you’ like a bit of healthy competition.
Get Building:
There’s nothing more romantic than being able to be big kids together. So, get some boxes, a couple of blankets and build yourselves your own private fort – bonus points for bringing a picnic!
Go to Bed:
Now now, we know what you’re thinking but save it for later! After a tiring day at work, it can be nice to get into some comfy pj’s, jump into bed and watch a bit of TV. So why not dim the lights, cuddle up and watch your soaps?
Going out isn’t for everyone and sometimes you want to spend that special night alone, not in a room full of other couples having the same special evening as you. So go on, get in your pj’s and build a fort!
