The band Circa Waves has shared the new dates for their rescheduled ‘Sad Happy’ UK tour in 2021. Puza Snigdha reports.
The tour was originally supposed to run throughout the spring and summer in this year following the release of their new album ‘Sad Happy’ back in March. However, the band had to postpone their tour because of ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
In a statement, the band said: “We have been told we have to move the gigs to March. We are really disappointed that we can’t play for you this year but safety is obviously the most important thing,”
They added: “It’s mad to release an album in March and not get to play the songs till a whole year later, but just think how much it’s gunna fuckin go off. Hold onto your tickets. These will undoubtedly be the most ridiculous Circa Waves shows ever. I for one can’t fucking wait!!!”
Talking about the album they said, “‘Sad Happy’ achieves its goal of communicating a messy, divided and confusing climate inhabited by torn-apart people always looking back to the past while being carried mercilessly into the future.”
According to the Government’s advice the band first postponed the date to September of this year but keeping in mind the safety of the audience and the crew, the band has decided a further postponement of the tour, which is going to take place in March, 2021.
