Music moves us all, and it can have a profound impact on the way we feel it can lift us when we are sad or comfort us when we are down. But for those who are suffering, isolated or vulnerable, music can literally be a lifeline.
Nordoff Robbins is the UK’s leading music therapy charity, and we use music to evoke positive change for people living with a range of challenges.
Last Christmas, Ali fled his home in Iran to escape persecution. Lost and lonely, Ali says: “Life was so difficult that I even thought about suicide, because I missed my home and my family so much, but in music I started to feel more focused and confident. I was finally able to express myself in the way I had always wanted to letting go of my fears and worries.”
Music therapy gave him comfort and connection when he needed it most. By giving the gift of music you will be helping us reach more people like Ali. If you would like to consider making a donation towards a therapy session to help us change more lives through music visit bit.ly/Ali_Christmas
