Bon Jovi has reunited with former band members guitarist Richie Sambora and bassist Alec John with an emphasis on ‘better late than never’, creating a night of nostalgia at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Cleveland on Saturday.
After almost 17 years since 2001, Guitarist Richie Sambora reunited with lead singer Jon Bon Jovi on stage as the group that got its start in New Jersey in the early 1980s played stadium-hits “Shot Through The Heart,” “It’s My Life” and many more for cheering fans.
“It’s an honor to be here tonight, ladies and gentlemen. Whenever I would see them over the years, even with multi-platinum success, they each had a smile on their face in a welcoming way” said radio Shock jock Howard Stern while introducing the band.
“Some days I write the ‘Thank you’ speech, sometimes I write the ‘(Expletive) you’ speech, in the end, it’s all about time. It took a lot of people to get us here tonight.” said Bon Jovi before taking the stage and making the night younger.
The band then took the stage for a lively four-song set that included, “You Give Love a Bad Name,” “It’s My Life,” “When We Were Us” from last year’s “This House Is Not for Sale” album, and “Livin’ on a Prayer.”
