Bob Marley’s Family Will Cover ‘One Love’ Track To Aid COVID-19 Funds

Bob Marley’s son Stephan, his daughter Cedella and his grandson Skip, have announced the release of the reimagined version of Marley’s song ‘One Love’. All proceeds from this song is said to go towards UNICEF’s Covid-19 fund. Anika Khan Reports.

The song ‘One Love’ was originally recorded in 1977 by the late reggae singer, Bob Marley. Now his original label, ‘Marley Tuff Gong International’ is teaming up with ‘Amplified music’ to recreate this iconic song.

The song is set to release on the 17th of July. Cedella said in an interview: “Over 40 years ago, my father wrote One Love about unity, peace and universal love during a time when there was much trouble in the world”.

She also added: “Even in a time when we aren’t able to get together, his message remains true today, we can get through this global crisis if we come together through one love and one heart.”

The proceeds from this song will go to ‘Reimagine’, UNICEF’s global campaign to help children who are heavily affected by the Pandemic. The campaign will provide underprivileged children with masks, sanitizers, soaps, protective gear, and hygienic kits.
