This week of October 2023, several of the world’s biggest art galleries are holding exhibitions that are sure to draw visitors from all over. Here is a list of some of the most notable exhibitions:

Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirror Rooms

  • Where: Tate Modern, London
  • When: October 11, 2023 – June 25, 2024

This exhibition will feature six of Kusama’s iconic Infinity Mirror Rooms, as well as a selection of her paintings and sculptures. Kusama’s work is known for its immersive and psychedelic nature, and this exhibition is sure to be a must-see for any fan of contemporary art.

The Last Pharaoh: Tutankhamun and the New Kingdom

  • Where: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City
  • When: October 11, 2023 – January 29, 2024

This exhibition will feature over 150 objects from the tomb of Tutankhamun, including his iconic golden mask, sarcophagus, and jewelry. The exhibition will also explore the life and reign of Tutankhamun, as well as the culture of the New Kingdom period in Egypt.

Van Gogh: The Final Year

  • Where: Musée d’Orsay, Paris
  • When: October 3, 2023 – February 4, 2024

This exhibition will focus on the final year of Van Gogh’s life, during which he produced some of his most famous works, including “The Starry Night” and “Wheatfield with Crows.” The exhibition will also explore Van Gogh’s mental health struggles and his relationship with his brother, Theo.

Vermeer and the Masters of Genre Painting

This exhibition will bring together over 30 paintings by Johannes Vermeer, as well as works by other Dutch genre painters from the 17th century. The exhibition will explore Vermeer’s unique style and his influence on other artists of his time.

Yayoi Kusama: My Eternal Soul

  • Where: Mori Art Museum, Tokyo, Japan
  • When: October 10, 2023 – March 24, 2024

This exhibition will feature a comprehensive survey of Kusama’s work, from her early paintings and sculptures to her recent Infinity Mirror Rooms.

The Art of Korea: 1300 Years of Creativity

  • Where: British Museum, London, UK
  • When: October 19, 2023 – February 26, 2024

This exhibition will showcase the rich and diverse art of Korea over the past 1300 years. It will feature over 150 objects, including paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and metalwork.

Rembrandt and Velázquez: The Parallel Lives

Edward Hopper’s New York

  • Where: Whitney Museum of American Art, New York City, NY, USA
  • When: October 19, 2023 – January 21, 2024

This exhibition will focus on Hopper’s paintings of New York City, which are some of his most famous works. It will examine his depiction of the city’s urban landscape and its inhabitants.
