Beat the Winter Blues at the Museum of Happiness

A two-week Winter Happiness Festival will be taking place at the Museum of Happiness in Camden, London, from 20 January to 4 Febuary.

People normally great the new year with hope but some people can suffer from anxiety during the winter months which can bring on mental distress and depression.

Not to worry though! Research and studies conducted by neuroscientists have proved that the state of happiness is something that can be learned. They have been able to compile a list of techniques to make you happier.

Co-founder of the Museum of Happiness and best-selling author, Shamash Alidina, said: “Winter can be a particularly depressing time in London. We want to offer a space for people to meet with other friendly Londoners, learn tricks to a more positive outlook in life, savour the moment and have a bit of fun along the way. And who knows, you may just find yourself feeling a bit more up beat too!”.

During the two weeks of the Winter Happiness Festival, people who attend will be able to enjoy a series of talks by leaders in the field on how to lead a happier life, the pop-up Guilt-Free Chocolate Café, and adult ball pit, yoga, bingo, live music, and many other events.

The objective of the Festival is to bring people together to create a sense of community and a happy place where people can exchange thoughts and advice.

Tickets, with a wallet-friendly starting price of 5 pounds, will go on sale on the supposedly saddest day of the year: Blue Monday, 15 January. You can find all the information and get tickets at museumofhappiness.org
