Ant and Dec Were Biggest Winners at the 2018 NTAs

Last night’s National Television Awards was a celebration of the public’s favourite and most successful television programmes in the UK. The general public had their say and awarded family favourites Ant and Dec, BBC Drama Doctor Foster and the visually stunning Blue Planet II.
Ant and Dec were the biggest winners of the night winning a total of three awards: best TV presenter, best challenge show and the newly established Bruce Forsythe entertainment award. Tribute was paid to the late-entertainer throughout the night.
BBC Drama Doctor Foster also won big. It won best drama for its second series and Suranne Jones, Doctor Foster herself, took home the gender-neutral award for best performance in drama.
The Blue Planet II team accepted the biggest award of the night, the Impact Award. Sir David Attenborough and the rest of the team were awarded the prize for raising awareness of the state of our oceans and encouraging individuals and government institutions to take action to protect the environment.
Bradley Walsh, presenter of unsuccessful Best Daytime award nominee The Chase crashed Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield’s acceptance speech when This Morning took home the award.

TV Judge: David Walliams in Britain’s Got Talent
Impact Award: David Attenborough and the Blue Planet II team
Challenge Show: I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here
Drama: Doctor Foster
Crime Drama: Broadchurch
Comedy: Peter Kay’s Car Share
Talent Show: Strictly Come Dancing
Special Recognition Award: Paul O’Grady
Serial Drama: Emmerdale
