American Vogue has Apologized for Styling Kendall Jenner in an 'Afro'

Vogue and Kendall Jenner have both experienced the allegations of cultural appropriation and the both have apologized for styling Kendall Jenner in what has all the earmarks of being an Afro haircut for a photoshoot.
Vogue posted two photos of Jenner on the fashion publication’s Instagram with the contentious style with a cropped curly hairstyle and a floral print dress from Brock Collection that looks like an Afro. The pictures posted over the weekend.
The picture, which previously showed up on the magazine’s Instagram on Friday, was shot by Swedish photographer Mikael Jansson and beautician Ton Goodman for a shoot that Jenner partook in to respect the fifteenth commemoration of the Vogue Fashion Fund.
Many followers of social media flooded the comments section of the post, with a number questioning Kendall’s casting. But Jenner didn’t reply.
One Instagram user commented, “Why was her hair teased into a fro when you could use an actual model with natural hair?” “Really an Afro on a caucasian model, stop doing this Vogue, it’s getting ridiculous,” another asked.
Vogue or Jenner have been accusing of cultural appropriation is not for the first time. Vogue, in 2017, accused for featuring model Gigi Hadid in a hijab.Karlie Kloss apologized for dressing up as a geisha for a photo spread intended to celebrate diversity.
Nevertheless, after this issue many of the commenters are also encouraging Vogue not to apologise for a ‘beautiful’ and ‘natural’ fashion photo.
