'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' Release a Teaser Trailer

The upcoming crossover of the hit FX anthology series, American Horror Story: Apocalypse, has released a creepy new teaser.
The teaser clip opens and closes on an hourglass—but its contents change. In the first image, we see a fetus floating in the top chamber, drawing what appears to be blood from a black heart in the lower part of the vessel. Before long, the heart lights on fire.
At the end, the trailer zooms out in a mind-bending transition that implies the entire teaser took place inside the hourglass—which a black hand with claws flips over, allowing the sand inside, made of tiny skulls, to topple down.
Series co-creator Ryan Murphy (Glee, Feud) has already confirmed that the new season will be a crossover between Season 1 (Murder House) and Season 3 (Coven). The two different seasons had dramatically different endings when they concluded, with Murder House ending with the impending arrival of the Antichrist and Coven ending with the witch school happily opening itself up to the public.
Jessica Lange is returning in season eight. The actress, who won two Emmys for the characters she played onAHS, left the series after season four. The former leading lady will be reprising her original AHS role of Constance Langdon from season one’s Murder House.
Constance was last seen taking custody of her neighbors’ satanic offspring, baby Michael Langdon, after he murdered the nanny in the first season finale.
Sarah Paulson will reprise two roles—Season 1’s Billie Dean Howard and Season 3’s Cordelia Foxx, who will remain the Supreme witch in her coven. She’ll also play a new character, Venable.
Kathy Bates will play a new character as well, a woman named Ms. Meade who apparently has the sides of her head shaved, with the rest of her hair dyed black.
American Horror Story: Apocalypse premieres on 12 September at 10 p.m. on FX.
