A new documentary on Robin Williams is coming this September

The documentary titled ‘Robin’s Wish’ will explore the last days of the legendary Comedian Robin William’s life. Anika Khan reports.

Robin McLaurin Williams who is critically acclaimed to be the best comedian of all time died at the age of 63 from suicide. His deterioration of mental health leading to his suicide was due to Lewy Body Dementia which is a very rare brain disease.

The new documentary ‘Robin’s Wish’ will feature interviews from his wife, Susan Schneider Williams, and the people he was associated with in the last years of his life. In an interview, Susan said that with the help of medical experts, “, I saw that what Robin and I had gone through, finally made sense”.

The making of the documentary helped Williams’s wife, Susan to understand more about the rare brain condition of Robert William that took his life. The documentary will feature the actors and directors he worked with and deal deeper into the legacy he wanted to leave behind.

Robin Williams was a man who made the world laugh with his presence. His astounding contribution to comedy and cinema gained him popularity worldwide. What still pains the fans is the fact that no one ever realized the sufferings he was hiding behind that smiling face. His death left an impeccable hollow and raised awareness in taking mental health more seriously.

The documentary ‘Robin’s Wish’ is scheduled to come out in the USA on September 1. Dates for the UK are still to be announced.
