Bangabandhu Memorial Museum

Bangabandhu Memorial Museum is a very attractive place to visit in Dhaka which is also known as ‘Bangabandhu Jadughor’ in Bengali. It is a very informative and interesting place with lots of pictures and historical artifacts.
This place is a historical tribute to the funding father of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh – Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. It was the private residence of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman before and after Bangladesh gained independence and was later converted into a museum. This is a place of great veneration and reverence for most patriotic Bangladeshis. There are different rare photographs of Sheikh Mujib’s entire life and many reminiscent objects of last days of his life in the house. Besides, different things that were used by Bangabandhu have been preserved in the house. The Museum remains open from 10 am to 6 pm everyday except Wednesday.
The museum is located in Dhanmondi beside the Mirpur road which is heart of the Dhaka. So there are lots of transport to visit the place. Such as bus, rickshaw, car.
