Biden Elects Ron Klain as White House Chief of Staff

Joe Biden has elected Ron Klain as his White House chief of staff Wednesday evening. Puza Snigdha reports.

Klain, 59, a lawyer, who served as “Ebola tsar” under President Obama and also worked with Biden in the 1980s, has become one of the most significant White House appointments.
The president-elect praised Klain’s “deep, varied experience” in a statement.
Klain has experience battling a public health crisis, as he worked as Obama’s “Ebola Czar” in 2014
“His deep, varied experience and capacity to work with people all across the political spectrum is precisely what I need in a White House chief of staff as we confront this moment of crisis and bring our country together again,” said Biden.

Choosing Klain, points to the Biden administration’s focus on addressing the coronavirus pandemic.
“Ron has been invaluable to me over the many years that we have worked together, including as we rescued the American economy from one of the worst downturns in our history in 2009 and later overcame a daunting public health emergency in 2014,” said Biden in a statement.
Klain says the role he got is “the honor of a lifetime.”
Selecting the new chief of staff is the first step to halt Trump’s allegation of ballot tampering.
On the other hand, Trump is continuing his campaign to overturn the results in key states but global leaders has already conceded Biden as the next president of the United States.
