ZSL London Zoo penguins share Christmas wishes

Zookeepers helped the penguins at ZSL London Zoo post their Christmas wishes to Santa today – ahead of the launch of the Zoo’s seasonal festivities this Saturday (27 November).

From Saturday 27 November to Monday 3 January visitors to the Magic of Christmas at London Zoo will be able to dash through the Zoo’s very own fairy-lit festive wonderland, following an outdoor trail to find out what their favourite animals want for Christmas.

ZSL London Zoo penguin keeper Jessica Jones said: “We’re pretty sure Santa now knows to get something fishy for the penguins this year, but from this Saturday, we’re inviting visitors to become elves-in-training and help make sure Santa brings the perfect pressies for all the other animals – by taking a festive fact-finding trail across the Zoo.”

After visiting the Zoo’s 20,000 animals, wildlife lovers will be able to share their findings with Mrs Claus in the Polar Postroom – where children of all ages will also be able to post their own letters to Santa.

“Santa checks his post every day, so visitors may even spot him popping up from time to time on his own Christmas day out at London Zoo,” added Jessica.

Make Christmas extra magical this year, by journeying through the animal kingdom to celebrate the Magic of Christmas at ZSL London Zoo.  Book your tickets online now at www.zsl.org/magicofchristmas.
