WhatsOn Covers: PINK Guide 2023 | Sam Smith

WhatsOn, a cutting-edge global media network, has been headquartered in Birmingham City Center for over 30 years.

Grounded in core values of inclusion, diversity, and equality, WhatsOn advocates for a healthy lifestyle and genuine democracy while condemning the exploitation of people, animals, and the environment.

Each month, we release a printed publication in advance covering regional, national, and international news, as well as important conversation subjects curated by our Editor and R&D staff.

Additionally, every month features a digital edition along with specific guides planned throughout the year.

By integrating print, social media, and digital marketing, we’ve created a multimedia network.

The WhatsOn Guide for 2023 features Sam Smith on the WhatsOn PINK Guide Cover. For more information, visit whatson.plus.

WhatsOn Cover: Sam Smith

Sam Smith is a British singer and songwriter known for his soulful and emotive vocals. Born on May 19, 1992, in London, England, Smith grew up in a musical family and began singing at a young age.

He was influenced by artists such as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and Beyoncé. Smith first gained attention in 2012 after featuring on Disclosure’s hit single “Latch.” He then released his debut EP “Nirvana” in 2013, which included the single “Stay With Me.”

The song became a massive hit, reaching the top of the charts in several countries and earning Smith four Grammy Awards. Since then, Smith has released three studio albums, including “In the Lonely Hour” (2014), “The Thrill of It All” (2017), and “Love Goes” (2020). Recently his song “Unholy” has broken the charts.

Smith has become known for his gender-neutral pronoun usage and advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights. To show our love from WhatsOn, we have chosen to put him on our WhatsOn Cover this year.

On What’sOn Magazine, we create and disperse a free, 68-page magazine each month throughout the UK. In all large cities, it is available from a broad range of art exhibitions, bars, libraries, universities, subways, and other cultural places.

For students and young adults, the magazine is an essential resource for the latest in culture, music, fashion, and media. It includes reviews of movies, books, music, and video games as well as the hottest popular and underground artists, a fashion section, news, and listings for events, performances, TV shows, sports, and clubs.
