Ed Sheeran is back with his new single ‘Afterglow’ after one year he released his last song. Puza Snigdha reports.
The singer released melancholy the song on Monday morning nearly after 18 months.
Sheeran to Instagram where he posted a video captioning, “Hey guys. Afterglow is a song I wrote last year that I wanted to release for you. It’s not the first single from the next album, it’s just a song I love, and hope you love too. Enjoy! Have a safe and happy festive break and New Year’s. Back to dad land for me now, ciao x”.
On Sunday, he teased the song saying a “Christmas present” is coming and shared track’s scribbled, multi-coloured artwork.
“11am GMT tomorrow. A Christmas present.”
Sheeran also shared a short video on his Instagram Stories featuring himself with a guitar and the clip grabbed 1.9 million views by Monday morning.
Before this the star shared star-studded ‘No.6 Collaborations Project’ album in 2019 featuring Stormzy, Justin Bieber, Camila Cabello, Cardi B and more.
Sheeran was most recently featured on Eminem’s “Those Kinda Nights”.
Apart from this, the star donated £10,000 to the hospital where his grandmother was admitted last month.
