The Labour Government of Wales has imposed a 14 days “fire break” lockdown during which period all the people have to stay in their homes. The lockdown will take effect from Friday at 6 pm and end on Monday, November 9.
The first minister, Mark Drakeford said that this measure is the best chance for Whales to control the Coronavirus spread. He further said that the National Health Service has been overwhelmed by the growing number of Covid cases in Wales in the past few weeks. If strict measures are not been taken at the right time, there are high chances for the NHS to collapse.

The new regulations include the ban on outdoor gatherings. All non-food retail businesses are instructed to remain close and people are instructed to stay in their homes except for emergency and essential purposes. The fire break is the best chance to control the Covid spread and avoid a national lockdown.
The first minister also said that a fund of extra £300 million is being kept aside to help the businesses that will be affected by this fire break. He said, “We must come together once again to stay ahead of this virus and to save lives.”
