Brian takes Charles into town secretly, but they discovered by Hazel, whom Brian is fond of. Hazel impressed and joins them on walks.
However, Brian restricts Charles from exploring further, causing a rift. Eddie, a bully, tries to buy Charles, but Brian refuses. Eddie later captures Charles, intending to burn him in a bonfire. Brian and Hazel rescue Charles with the help of their inventions and the town confronts Eddie. He accepts Charles’s adventurous spirit and gives him a travel pass.
