Trump and Biden offer dramatically different visions to their voters

On Thursday night, Donald Trump and his Democratic challenger Joe Biden offered different takes on handling the Coronavirus crisis. Trump defended his records on handling the emergency whereas Biden calls for a more robust national response.

With the US presidential election is only three weeks away; the two candidates appeared at the same time on two different channels answering questions from voters.

Joe and Trump were supposed to face off each other in the second presidential debate in Miami. After their shambolic debate last month which can be described as nothing but a comical nuisance, they decided to present themselves to voters in a different format. The campaign is unlike anything modern history has seen.

Trump spoke to NBC in Miami defending his handling of the pandemic which has caused over 2 million American lives and inaccurately claimed that America is “rounding the corner” in its fight against COVID-19. He further stated that vaccines and therapies are coming.

Biden spoke to ABC News in Philadelphia, slamming the president for handling the Covid situation so callously. He called out on his inaccurate claims that lives could have been saved if Trump took early measures.  Biden said, “The president was informed how dangerous this virus was.”

Trump was recently released from the hospital after being diagnosed with Covid-19.  He repeatedly challenged the anchor of NBC about the claims over voter frauds in the US. He said, I want it to be an honest election, and so does everybody else.”

Just a few days back, Donald Trump has accused President Obama to fabricate the killing of Osama Bin Laden through his tweet. In another of the controversies, he revealed to the New York Times investigation that he had a debt of $421 million.
