TikTok is Where the New Wave of Female Rap is Blooming

This generation is the witness of strong female rap in TikTok. They are holding up the future of rap through TikTok

Without a doubt, TikTok especially has had a huge influence on the music business. One Insight piece from the finish of 2022 gets referenced as “a crucial promotional activity” for musicians and record companies. Rap women appear to get perfected that technique, building up hit tunes that got viral. And successfully turning their social popularity into top-charting singles. TikTok is home to the youngest generation of female rappers. Actually, they effectively use the home of the newest generation of female rap artists. And they are effectively using it as a career launcher.

The Wave of Female Rap in TikTok

Young performers such as Ice Spice, GloRilla, & Flo Milli are among TikTok’s most stunning success stories. With more than 51 million Spotify songs & YouTube views overall, Ice Spice is one of 2023’s most talked-about performers. In Ha Mood, “Gangsta Boo” with Lil Tjay, “Munch,” & “Bikini Bottom,” four other songs includes 119 million Spotify streams. Ice gets developed a reputation for posting snippets of her songs on TikTok and then reaping huge streaming numbers.

After going popular on TikTok, GloRilla’s springtime single “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” with producer Hitkidd became a summer hit. Which landed the rapper 1st Billboard Hot 100 position and her first-ever Grammy award as Best Rap Performance in 2023. Her next song, “Tomorrow 2,” also got famous. However, Cardi B, peaked at number 10 on the Hot 100 chart on Billboard and received 786k creations on TikTok. Due in great part to the TikTok virility of her song “Beef FloMix”. And “In the Party,” Alabama artist Flo Milli has received Gold certification for each of these tracks.

Monaleo’s Thoughts

“TikTok began my career, and I adore it. I believe it’s fantastic that artists have options to support themselves. And also their family may share their work on an app for enjoyment,” Monaleo says.

“Once anything becomes viral, there are other procedures you must do since you are not getting immediately famous”, according to Monaleo. To shift from one musician whose music is popular to one who gets respected in specific locations, “It requires a lot”

According to TikTok, more female rappers are seeing mainstream success. Leveling the playing field where it may be challenging for female artists to gain widespread acclaim and respect. The algorithms and the radio are at risk from the takeover by the rap girls.

Such an Inspiration!

Maiya the Don states, “I want to get known as an unique, thyself, kind, and like that b*tch. Instead, I’m the finest rapper ever, as a rapper, not a female rapper.”
