The KA & GRM Daily Rated Awards Announced Winners of 2018

The KA & GRM Daily Rated Awards was launched in 2015 to showcase the highest calibre of talent and celebrate culture through the medium of music. This year the award is back to celebrate the best in UK music and the winners is also being announced.
With the presents of the following artists, Maya Jama, Josh Denzel, Skepta, Lethal Bizzle, Big Shaq, Daniel Kaluuya, Naughty Boy, Giggs, Chip, Big Narstie, Ghetts, Tim Westwood, Krept & Konan, Charlie Sloth and more, The KA & GRM Daily Rated Awards 2018 took place 4 September at the Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith.
Rapper and comedian Michael Dapaah was awarded The Personality of the Year Award. Big winners on the night also included D Double E,Not3s and Kenzo, who were just a selection of the exceptional names from the urban music scene.
Michael Dapaah, aka Big Shaq, has had an incredible year with the viral sensation Mans Not Hot and, more recently, Man Don’t Dance. Dapaah broke through as the fictional rapper Big Shaq in 2014 with his mockumentary series SWIL.
Grime superstar Not3s took home the Artist of the Year Award. Headie One wins the ‘Personality of the Year Breakthrough’ of the Year award. Nines got the ‘ Album of the Year’, AJ Tracey ft Not3s wins ‘Track of the Year’ award. Charlie Sloth also won the ‘Radio DJ of the Year’ award.
D Double E took The GRM Legacy Award. He has inspired grime heavyweights Skepta and Dizzee Rascal, as well as countless other MCs who have followed his career from his days with N.A.S.T.Y Crew, to his most recent album Jackuum.
Other winners included Fredo who was awarded ‘Mixtape of the Year’, ‘Best Video of the Year’ went to Rapman and Kenzo. D Double E, Kojo Funds, Not3s and Ray BLK performed gigs that award night.
