The Jim Henson company has famously produced puppet friendly content for children for the past decade. Now they’re deciding to step away from this demographic with the Happytime Murders, described as a neo-noir puppet crime comedy mystery.
Melissa McCarthy and her puppet partner team up to try to find a serial killer who is slaying muppet style puppets and isn’t looking to stop. This could be an interesting film if you consider yourself a fan of McCarthy’s films.
It does border the line of crude at times with its humour though so take a look and see if it aligns with your sense of humour before committing to seeing it.
