Branding can be such a weight around a band. Take Sylar, named after the Heroes villain, who are labelled as metalcore but in reality sound more like Linkin Park in their heyday. Anyone taking notice of this pigeon holing may skip past them which would be a shame. Seasons in many ways is a latter day Hybrid Theory which means it’s cool but does also sound a little dated in places. The real bonus with Sylar is that when they’re on it they are seriously on it and this album has a whole host of tracks that will have fans going nuts live.
