This upcoming side-scrolling game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch, that is scheduled for release worldwide on June 28. It is a follow up to the game Super Mario Maker in 2015, in which players create their own custom courses using assets from various games across the Super Mario franchise and share them online. The game maintains the same system of game play as the original with several additional features, such as new elements from Super Mario 3D World.
In this game, the player can create their own courses using assets from across the Super Mario series and publish them onto the internet. Players can choose from a selection of prior Super Mario games to base their course’s visual style. Super Mario Maker 2 includes several new elements and features absent from the original, including slopes, modifiable auto-scroll direction, as well as new enemies, tools, themes, and items, many of which originate from Super Mario 3D World on the Wii U.
