We’re all lacking motivation this Winter, particularly being in a national pandemic. Here are five ways to stay motivated and reach your goals.
1. Take a Break
Studies show your mobile device may be stealing your happiness and decreasing academic potential. Glaring at your screen all day can also damage eyesight and drain your brain. Give yourself a break from the online world and see the potential of the true world around you.
2. Exercise daily
This is a popular one, but it does work. When you exercise, your body releases hormones called Endorphins. This triggers a positive feeling in your body which benefits motivation. Whether it’s a five-minute walk or a 15-mile bike ride, getting some fresh air and moving your body can stimulate your mind.
3. Be around Positive people
Positive people can influence, encourage, compliment and support you grow to become the best version of yourself. Being surrounded by positive minds can inspire you to keep up with your hard work. Considering the glass “half full” rather than “half empty” is a grand life skill.
 4. “Me time”
Allowing yourself to do the things you truly love can help decrease the chances of procrastination, enhancing the likelihood of staying determined. Giving yourself time to decompress and get rid of stress will allow you to get back to everyday life with a clear mind.
5. Focus on End game
There is always light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how challenging life can be at times. Setting alarms, reading inspiring messages and watching life-stories can excite your brain to keep motivated. Remind yourself of your goal and picture your life when you’ve achieved it. Feels great, doesn’t it?
