The second trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog has been released and Sega fans were presently surprised. The speedy blue hedgehog was reanimated to imitate his looks from the video games. In doing that, Paramount Pictures may have reanimated this film’s prospects.
Back in May the first trailer was released, and fans were everything from shocked, amused to disheartened when their eyes fell upon this first CGI Sonic. The blue boy looked a bit like somebody taxidermized his original self and photo-shopped human eyes on him. Or like a demon stopped the animators mid-way and added its own ‘artistic flare’.
The outrage was widespread, and the upcoming film was a laughingstock before it was even released. In an unprecedented turn of events, Director Jeff Fowler said ‘The message is loud and clear. You aren’t happy with the design & you want changes. It’s going to happen.’ And that was that.
This brings us to now with the new and improved sonic. He resembles himself, with large eyes, vibrant blue fur and a wide smile.
Director Jeff tweeted, ‘Today is the DAY! Could not be more excited to share our new Sonic with you. THANK YOU for your patience and support. This wouldn’t have been possible without the fans.’
The film is scheduled for release on 14th February 2020.
