World’s best all-rounder Shakib Al- Hasan signed a one-year agreement with 2017-18 Bangladesh premier league (BPL) champion Rangpur Riders for the 2019 BPL season.
The agreement was signed on Wednesday at the auditorium of Bashundhara Group Industrial Headquarters -2 in Bashundhara residential area.
The signing ceremony was aired live on the official Facebook page of Rangpur Raiders.
7th edition of BPL cricket tournament will begin from 6 December this year.
Previously, in the 2015 edition of BPL, Shakib played for Rangpur Riders and scored 136 runs with 18 wickets in 11 matches.
In the first season of Bangladesh premier league Shakib captained the Khulna Royal Bengals and in the second season he took Dhaka Gladiators to the tournament title.
Before returning to Rangpur Riders Shakib played in Dhaka Dynamites for three consecutive years.
This 32 years legend is the first player of BPL history to take 100 wickets and now stands first in the top wicket taker list of Bangladesh Premier League.
