Regent Arcade announce that JD Sports will open new store before end of 2021

JD Sports is set to open a new store in Cheltenham’s Regent Arcade, as part of the latest bolstering of the town’s retail offering. A new lease has been agreed with the sports-fashion retailer on an 11,000 sq ft store, with plans to open before Christmas in premises formerly occupied by Topshop following its closure earlier this year.

JD Sports is the latest major retailer to join Cheltenham’s retail and leisure offer in 2021, as Regent Arcade continues to grow in a bid to meet the needs of today’s shoppers post-lockdown.

Scott Lahive, Manager of Regent Arcade said “JD’s choice of Regent Arcade Shopping Centre is a strong vote of confidence in the Centre and retailing in Cheltenham as a whole. The new store openings will strengthen further the Centre’s tenant mix. We already have some of the best international & national high-street lifestyle brands under our roof including H&M, River Island, Pandora, Schuh amongst many others so, despite the unforeseen challenges that COVID has presented to retail over the last year, we are now trading with a really strong tenant mix and a very optimistic outlook.”

Cheltenham shoppers can expect the latest high-level store environment from the new stores, with JD providing a full range of brands from their stable, including several exclusives!
