Rapper Smoke Dawg Shot to Death in Toronto

Rapper Smoke Dawg has reportedly been killed following a shooting in Toronto on Saturday night (June 30).
CP24, a 24-hour local news channel, says two men and one woman were taken to hospital after being shot outside Cube Nightclub in the Entertainment District. Multiple witnesses heard the gunshots.
Smoke Dawg is best known for his popular remix of “Trap House,” featuring American hip-hop artist French Montana. He was a member of the music collective Halal Gang, which includes rappers Safe, Puffy L’z and Mo-G. Smoke Dawg toured with Drake on the ‘Boy Meets World’ tour in February and March 2017 alongside the other members of Halal Gang.
Police are still not confirm about the identity of the deceased, but known associates of Smoke Dawg, including Drake and Mustafa the Poet have taken to social media to pay tribute.
Mustafa the Poet wrote on Twitter: “The worst day of my life, I somehow keep finding a new worst. Smokey is gone, may our prayers follow him to heaven.”
Police have said that multiple shots were fired, and that there were three victims. The suspects are believed to have fled in a black SUV or a white car.
