Nick Mason’s Pink Floyd Saucerful Of Secrets Announce UK Tour

Nick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets, the supergroup he formed to perform early Pink Floyd material, have announced five U.K. shows of their unique live show on April and May 2019.
Following a month-long sell-out tour of the U.K. and Europe in September 2018, the Pink Floyd drummer’s super-group have announced five U.K. shows.
The 74-year-old drummer and his new bandmates – Gary, long-time Pink Floyd bassist Guy Pratt, Blockheads guitarist Lee Harris and keyboard player Dom Breken – kicked off their UK tour at the iconic venue with a setlist picked from the psychedelic rock group’s early albums.
Ahead of their debut concert, Mason insisted that his group, fronted by Spandau Ballet’s Gary Kemp, were not a tribute outfit. “It’s not important to play the songs exactly as they were, but to capture the spirit,” he said.
The band performs Pink Floyd’s celebrated and significant early body of work including songs from albums The Piper At The Gates of Dawn and A Saucerful Of Secrets.
The four London shows were the first time Mason has played live since the Olympic closing ceremony in London in 2012.
“This is a unique opportunity to experience Pink Floyd’s celebrated and significant early body of work played live including songs from albums ‘The Piper at the Gates of Dawn’ and ‘A Saucerful of Secrets’”, said the band.
Saucerful Of Secrets will return for more live shows in April and May 2019. The tour will conclude with two gigs at London’s Roundhouse on May 3/4. Here is some dates,
Apr 29: Cardiff St David’s Hall
Apr 30: Aylesbury Friars
May 01: Cambridge Corn Exchange
May 03: London Roundhouse
May 04: London Roundhouse
Tickets for the tour are on sale now direct from the band’s website with the exception of the Paris show on September 10.
