NHS staff in the UK are stressed, exhausted, and burned out

Over 55892 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded across the UK in the last 24 hours causing immense pressure on the National Health Service.

  • These are the highest official numbers ever recorded in a day. The death toll also rose by 964, the highest figure since April.
  • Unions are concerned with finding ways to maintain Health workers without burning them out.
  • They have suggested calling over 87,000 retired NHS workers to fill the vacancies and serve in the front line to tackle the national crisis.
  • Unite national officer for the health sector Colenzo Jarrett-Thorpe said that the Health System in the UK “is under severe strain”.
  • This he stated was due to years of underfunding and staff shortage that has now caused the NHS to collapse as the second strain of the virus hits the nation.
  • The situation is taking a heavy toll on the already exhausted workforce who have been serving to treat the Covid-19 patients from the first wave.
  • To make matters worse, the UK is receiving reports on lack of PPE and other necessary for the front line health workers.
  • The Unions are urging the NHS to speak about this so that help can be managed from all around.
  • The current situation in the UK only goes to show how poorly the Tory Government handled the Pandemic.
  • It is high time Boris gets a grip, and act to do everything in his power to protect the front line health workers and the people of this nation.

The overworked NHS workers, shortage of staff, and supplies have stirred concern as the new wave of Covid-19 hits the nation.
