The New York International Children’s Film Festival (NYICFF) presents 100 animated, live action and experimental shorts and features each year from all across the world plus gala premieres, retrospectives, filmmaker Q&As, workshops, audience voting, and the NYICFF Awards Ceremony. The Festival often presents films that were not originally created with young audiences in mind, but resonate with children and families. This bold approach to programming has made the Festival a cultural touchstone in New York City.
This year, from 23 Feb until 18 March, the NYICFF is welcoming over 25,000 young people, parents, and movie-lovers to explore the world without leaving NYC by presenting the best new animation, live action, documentary and experimental film from across the globe to watch, laugh, create and explore.
